This is the maiden edition of the Nigerian Open, Distance and e-Learning Journal, which is a publication of the Open, Distance and e-Learning Association of Nigeria, it is an e-publication and had been geared to meet global requirement from this outset and we intend to continuously improve on it from year to year and according to global dynamism of the research and academic world, so that by whatever criteria a journal is measured, ours would be counted among the good ones in its area of coverage. Those whose papers were accepted for publication in this edition would acknowledge the rigour which their papers went through before they were finally accepted for publication. All papers were rigorously peer-reviewed and were also subjected to critical reviewed by the editorial board to ascertain that corrections were effected and that they conformed to our set standards. The number of papers herein published, which are less than half of the number submitted for publication confirms the quantum of efforts put into scrutinising the papers before publication. We may not have reached our utmost goal for the journal, but we shall continue to endeavour to improve on what we have been able to attain so far. We welcome comments and suggestions for further improvement to make the journal globally competitive and among the best on our continent. We, therefore commend the content of the journal to the reading public.
